Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport Phase II Expansion Project Airport Engineering Preliminary Design and Estimates Review Meeting Held

From July 25 to 28, the airport engineering preliminary design and estimates review meeting of the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport Phase II expansion project took place.

In terms of airport engineering of this Phase II expansion project, the civil works of the flight and terminal areas are designed to handle 55 million passengers and 520,000 tons of cargo (freight and mail) by 2035, while the equipment system and other works are designed to handle 45 million passengers and 400,000 tons of cargo (freight and mail) by 2030.

A new 3,600-meter-long, 45-meter-wide West 1 F4 runway will be built 2,260 meters west of the current runway, and a new 3,600-meter-long, 45-meter-wide West 2 4E runway will be built 760 meters west of West 1 runway. Moreover, a new 600,000-square-meter terminal T2 building, a 164-space apron, as well as rooms and related production and living supporting facilities will be built.
