Il sistema OCR per la lettura delle etichette bagagli consente di acquisire , tutte le informazioni presenti, oltre al codice a barre. L'utilizzo della tecnologia OCR permette infatti di recuperare il numero di volo e il codice dell'aeroporto di destinazione posti sopra il Licence Plate Number (LPN) codificato nel codice a barre.
