Shuofang International Airport began its renovation and expansion project

On May 18th, the Sunan Shuofang International Airport expansion project started.

The project includes the construction of the eastern cargo area of the new airport, with a total area of 1035 acres, including flight area engineering, cargo station engineering, oil supply engineering, etc. The main construction is expected to be completed before 2025. After the project is completed, it will greatly alleviate the contradiction between the current ground resources and airspace resources of the airport, effectively improve the airport capacity and guarantee ability. This is of great significance for Wuxi to stabilize its supply chain and integrate into the new development pattern of “dual circulation” in the Yangtze River Delta region.
